To create a more active nation we need to strive for a supportive, connected system that works cohesively, making it easier for people to access and engage with the right opportunities and support for their needs.
As specialists in pathway design and whole-system working, we combine our expertise in developing national guidance with practical experience of helping organisations to create and strengthen physical activity for health pathways.
Recognising that guidance alone does not create change, we want to bring our expertise and insight together through Connect, a collaborative development programme designed to turn guidance into effective, sustainable local action.

Physical activity for health pathways
Physical activity for health pathways describe the connections, processes and partnerships that help people access the right support to move more and improve their health.
A whole-system approach helps organisations identify and address the barriers people face, particularly those who experience the greatest inequalities. Strengthening connections across a place can make support easier to access, more joined-up and more responsive to people’s needs.
Connect guides you through the key principles and practical steps needed to create effective physical activity pathways.
